Flowers for a personal expression of care.

When words are difficult, you can begin with a simple intention: to let someone know they are in your thoughts. A vase arrangement gives that intention a place on a table or another suitable surface. Consider the person receiving the flowers and the space they have, whether you are sending to a home or a gathering.

The coral roses and salmon-toned lilies pictured here suggest a warm palette. A quieter combination or a favorite color may feel closer to the recipient. Share what you know about their taste; you do not need a complete floral brief to start.

Choose the vase and flowers together.

Tell Claudia whether you picture something compact, a looser arrangement with greenery or a taller silhouette. Mention the table or shelf it might sit on, especially if space is limited. The height and width of the finished arrangement should be discussed along with the vase.

If you have a reference photo, point out the part you like. It may be the color balance rather than every flower, or the simple container rather than the arrangement’s size. Explain any preferences about fragrance or flowers to avoid so those details can be considered for your request.

Make the message sound like you.

A short note can be enough. You might name a memory, express your sympathy or simply say that you are thinking of the family. Include the sender names exactly as you want them written, particularly when the flowers come from a group of friends or colleagues.

Share the date and destination before planning the handoff. If you do not know whether the recipient will be home, tell Claudia what information you have and confirm the receiving arrangements. The flowers, vase, price and timing are discussed for your particular request.

A few words can start the conversation.

Tell Claudia who the flowers are for, where they will go and the feeling you want to convey.
