Wedding flowers, explained

Good questions. A beautiful place to start.

What to bring, what to ask, and how to turn a collection of ideas into a useful conversation about your wedding flowers.

Before the first conversation.

When should we get in touch?

Start the conversation once you know your date and location, or explain which details are still being decided. Ask Claudia about availability for that specific date and the time needed for your scope. A general planning guide cannot confirm a booking or a deadline.

What if we do not know any flower names?

You can describe a color, a shape, a feeling or a room you love. Send a few photos and explain what you like about them. Distinguishing a favorite palette from a favorite flower gives Claudia more useful context than a photo alone.

What information helps with a quote?

Share the date, venue, ceremony and reception locations, estimated guest and table counts, floral priorities and a budget range. Include the schedule and venue contact if you have them. Mark unknown details clearly so they can be discussed rather than assumed.

The flowers and the design.

Can we request a particular flower or copy a reference?

Tell Claudia which flower matters and why. Discuss its availability for your date and the role it plays in the design. A reference can guide color, shape and mood; confirm the actual flowers, scale and agreed design rather than assuming an exact reproduction.

How do we think about the budget?

Separate the moments you most value from the ones that can be simpler. List the personal flowers, ceremony pieces, tables and statement arrangements you are considering. Ask Claudia to discuss scope and price with those priorities in view; the final quote defines the specific request.

Can ceremony flowers move to the reception?

Sometimes a plan may allow that, but discuss the particular pieces, distance between spaces, schedule and who handles the move. An arrangement that works in one setting may need a different position in another. Confirm the handling and responsibilities before relying on reuse.

The venue and the day.

What should we share about an outdoor Miami wedding?

Include the time of day, shade, sun and wind exposure, plus how long the flowers will be outside. Tell Claudia about any alternate weather location. Ask your venue about installation rules and access so the floral plan can be discussed for the real conditions.

Are vessels, structures, setup and collection included?

Ask for the specific pieces and responsibilities to be written into your proposal or agreement. Confirm vessel or structure handling, access, placement and any later collection. Photos of a design do not establish which supporting items or services are included in your request.

What happens if our plans change?

Keep the updated date, venue, schedule, counts and design changes together and contact Claudia. Ask how a proposed change affects the agreed scope, timing and price. Payment, cancellation and change terms belong in the agreement for your wedding, not in a general answer here.

Bring the questions you still have.

You do not need to solve the whole wedding before asking about flowers. Begin with your priorities and the details you know. The planning guide helps gather them into a clear starting point, and the quote request gives you a place to share them.
